Worcester Coach Trip

WCA Coach trip to Worcester

An excellent day for a coach trip – and a fine choice for a destination as well.

The sun shone on us during our day out to Worcester on September 18th.

Most of the 40-odd passengers, which included folk from both Woodborough and surrounding areas, headed to the city’s fine cathedral where they found the tomb of King John and also of Prince Arthur, older brother of Henry VIII.

The statuary and stain glass windows were a lovely sight.

Others also strolled along the River Severn and spotted the many swans protected along its banks.

There was a National Trust treasure called the Greyfriars House and a Tudor museum as well as plenty of shops and cafes to visit.

A successful day out – organised as usual by WCA members Carol and David Tansley.
