The 2014 editon of the WCA scarecrow competition, sponsored by the Nag’s Head public house, has a winner – The Child Catcher by Roisin and Yasmin Page.

The theme was Villians and Heroes and the Most Original Scarecrow was Cops and Robbers by Hamish Douglas.

This year members of the WCA were on hand to host a scarecrow making workshop  in the garden of the Nag’s Head.

Basic tools and straw were available for anyone who wanted to bring down clothes and accessories to dress their scarecrow.

All the winners were announced following the counting of public votes at the prize giving party and disco at the Nags Head.

Everyone who entered got  a goody bag and a certificate.

Well done to all our entries in our Villians and Heroes competition and now we can get ready for next year’s event!The scarecrow competition is sponsored by the Nags Head Public House.
