On Wednesday 21st September, the WCA coach trip took 44 passengers to the City of Coventry. The weather was dry, giving people the option of indoor and outdoor browsing.
A number of us visited the new Cathedral and some of us were there when a short Liturgy Service took place. The ruined Cathedral was much larger than I had remembered from visiting it as a child, but so impressive to see.
There were a number of places to visit, a watch museum, an indoor market, Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, the Transport Museum and the St. Mary’s Guildhall and the Council House. All of them were amazing.
Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants were handy, and in the centre of Broadgate Square sat Lady Godiva on her horse!
There was certainly a lot to see.
