Tamworth Coach Trip – May 2019
Our visit to this large Saxon market town, steeped in 900 years of history, couldn’t have been better. The magnificent Norman castle was fascinating to explore and those energetic enough to climb to the top floor were rewarded with a lovely view of the stunning castle pleasure grounds.
There were other activities available including following the canal towpaths, or visiting one of the largest and oldest churches in the Midlands -St Editha’s.
The town has many unique and independent shops and for those who wanted to just sit and relax there
were plenty of seats and green spaces, including in the castle grounds park to just rest and enjoy one of the sunniest and warmest days of the spring.
The coach journey was very smooth with a pleasant driver who was happy to take the group anywhere else they wanted to visit en route.
